Smokey, with sweet undertones of chargrilled onions and roasted tomatoes, the slow building heat of the Bhut Jolokia creeps up on you, seconds after it touches your tastebuds. True to its name, the heat of the Haute Sauce haunts you.
Our ghost peppers come from the remote mountains of Northeast India, from an area that boasts the densest rainfall in the world. What’s both magical and deceptive about these chillies is that they have the most unsuspecting smell of - wait for it - strawberries. Behind the almost saccharine sweetness hides the wrath of one of the hottest chillies in the world; and we’re incredibly proud to bottle up the potentness of these firebombs directly into this explosive bottle of Haute Sauce.

All Haute Sauces are always made fresh on order. We never have any as ready stock, as we believe making them fresh is the key in ensuring quality and taste.
Since all bottles are made on order, we are unable to offer next day delivery. Once the sauce is prepared and ready for delivery, you will receive another email from us where you can confirm the delivery date and time slot.
Haunting Haute Sauce is best consumed within 8-10 weeks from the date of production, if kept under the right conditions.
Please ensure that the sauces are stored correctly. Since they do not contain any preservatives, they can’t be stored the same way as commercial hot sauces.
- Always ensure that the Haute Sauce is refrigerated. We recommend keeping the Haute Sauces at the very back of the refrigerator where it’s the coldest and not at the front of the fridge or in the fridge door.
- Shake the bottle well before use and always keep the bottle shut after use.
- Wipe the mouth of the bottle clean with a clean tissue after every use.
Our Haute Sauces are spicy, so eat responsibly. There are so many different ways you can enjoy it – mix it into your pasta sauce, stews, stir fries, salad dressings, mayonnaise to kick things up a notch; marinate your meats with it; have it on a slice of freshly-made sourdough with a drizzle of good-quality olive oil; make spicy loaded fries; or try our favourite way to eat it - on top of a sunny side up egg (runny yolk, of course)Haute Sauces are created to pair with any cuisine – spice up a Morrocan tajine or a Mexican chilli con carne, heap it onto a mutton biryani, or add it to hummus to give it that extra fire. And if you’re feeling brave – just use it as a dipping sauce.

Again, as a gujarati I take my spice very seriously. And if there’s one sauce I’d add in every dish, it would be this. It is SO versatile, a little goes a long way, and wow does it bring the flavour in any and every dish up a notch. I absolutely LOVE it!!!

Tasty As Hell Hot Sauce
I learned about Haute Sauce from the folks at Frying Pan Adventures (you should follow them both on Instagram, if you aren't already). I don't mean to brag but I do consider myself a hot-sauce connoisseur. My husband and I have amassed quite a collection of super hot, super tasty sauces from all over the world and we've even dabbled in making our own. So we know how difficult it is to nail a recipe and achieve the perfect balance of heat and flavour. The Haute Sauce queen, Ambika, knows exactly what she's doing. She's mastered creating a sauce that is hot hot hot, but also super tasty. We've tried three of her incredible sauces, Mellowing, Original and her latest creation, Haunting. All three pack a punch, so be careful people. I can handle my heat but even I was blown away by how hot these sauces are. In fact it was a pleasant surprise. I'm the kind of person who will order Indian and ask for it to be extra hot only to be disappointed when it barely even registers on the Scoville scale. Ambika does not disappoint. She will blow your head off with a beautifully blended concoction of chillies, garlic and herbs. My husband and I are on a carnivore diet - that means we eat only meat and meat products (some dairy, butter, cheese). Ambika's sauces are the only non-animal sourced food we allow ourselves to eat. I wouldn't give them up for the world. They add flavour to all our meals, and spice to our lives. Five stars!!!
